The business started as The Sign Shoppe in 1983 with a partner by the name of Sandie Ashton, one of Australia’s first and best female signwriters. The original factory was located beneath an art gallery in Surfers Paradise before moving south to Mermaid Beach.

In 1989 Denis and Rae took control and the name changed to Kinzett’s Sign Shoppe. Many people (including ourselves) still refer to us today as The Sign Shoppe.

In 1990 at 17 years old, Shane was asked to help out one busy Christmas period… and never left. The Shoppe moved to premises at Molendinar and Kinzett’s Sign Shoppe was from then on a true family business.

In 2000 Shane took over from Denis and Rae as the sole director and along with a move to the current location in Nerang, the business quickly moved into the new millennium.

Over these 33 years we have seen the sign industry transition from traditional brushwork and true artistry through the innovation of vinyl cutters and adhesive signage to the seemingly limitless world of digital printing that we utilise today. The future of signage will be even more exciting as LED and lighting technology evolves as the next medium for advertising.

Even though Denis has now retired, Kinzett’s Sign Shoppe is still proud to offer our clients the knowledge and skills that are the result of our lifelong experience. We aim to provide a complete signage service to clients ranging the east coast of Australia, from consultancy and design through to supply and installation.
